A museum founded on the passion of Carl Jacobsen
Carl Jacobsen, son of the brewer who founded the Carlsberg brand, and a great patron and collector of art, devoted much of his life to acquiring a wide variety of works of art. His dream of creating a place where ancient and modern art could coexist was realized in 1897 with the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek.
- 🧜♀️ Carl Jacobsen is also the patron behind one of Copenhagen’ s most famous icons: the Little Mermaid statue.
- 🍻 Home of Carlsberg is a museum dedicated to the famous Danish beer brand.
